A. Alan's best friend growing up was Darren Williams. They we're together always. Alan was very selective with anybody he called his friend, so he only had a few. But, Darren was his closest. After Alan got to high school, he had a good friend, Greg Owens, they we're in carpentry class together. Darren and Greg are both such good people, always have been very respectful. I love these two like they we're my sons.

A. He was into carpentry while in high school. Alan's daddy was a mechanic, and he and Alan would work on cars together. Both we're Mustang enthusiasts. Alan's daddy was killed in a car accident in 2001, After that, Alan suddenly decided he wanted to be a mechanic. So, he went to college immediately after high school, then got his first and only job at Fairway Ford in Greenville. We we're all so proud.

A. Alan was terrified of lightning and storms. Anytime it started lightning, Alan would be right beside me, scared to death. He would sit there and not say a word or move until it stopped. The day he was buried, right after we got home from the funeral, it started pouring down rain and lightning very bad...I stood at the front door watching it, thinking about Alan...it ripped my heart out. I was so scared for him, because I could'nt tell him,"it will be alright".

A. Alan was very quiet all through school. Never got into trouble. Teachers always said they wish he would talk sometimes. He was easy going, really smart. Was one of those that never brought books home, but always made the honor roll.
