About

Merry Christmas Alex We miss and love you...

Its been just over a year since you have been here with us.  Christmas just passed again, It was nice,  lots of things have changed for us this year, something you knew and kept telling me but stubborn me refused to listen!  unfortunately we cant go back in time, because if I could I would go back to the Beginning of 2008. answer that question in a different way. saddly that wont ever happen. The kids are growing like mad,  and look just like you!  So Beautiful!  Since you have passed  I have had the opportunity to talk with and get to know several members of your family! most recent from the loss of your Cousin Chrissie, Whom I can imagine you guys sit up there together looking over your gorgeous kids!  They are all such amazing people!  I would have met them last year, but unfortunately life had different plans for me. however, We have plans to meet your Aunts and Uncles in Indiana here in the next couple months, as well as your cousin Jai in Tn. and are still excited to get to personally meet your Beautiful Sister Cassie! I see why you loved her so much,  she is such a kind and fun spirited person from what I have gotten to know. Im sure our babies will Love her to pieces as you did! I cant believe that our lil twinkies will be five years old in the next few months! life seems to just fly right on by! I know you watch over them, Ashton always see's you in his dreams They talk about you everyday!  you would be so amazed at just how much like you personality wise Ashton is!  Brookie is Spunky outgoing and just full of sass!  Miranda and Chessica are doing great aswell! but I know you are watching over our family and know all of this  :)   I really just wanted to take a minute and say how much we have missed you and needed you here this past year!   We hope that you have found the peace you searched so hard for in life,  we love you so much and miss you everyday! always and forever in our hearts until we meet again!  <3  Love Always your Family. <3

Memories

wishing you were here today....

Shelly May 03, 2010

I know you see whats going on and I can imagine what your thinking! that was the one thing that made you ok with not being completely in the picture was knowing all was ok because of him. I truely wish you could be here today cause you always knew what to say to make everything ok.... and make sense but now nothing makes sense anymore.....I could really use a hand with our kids, and kick myself everyday for doing what at the time I thought was right. I wonder had I done what you wanted if things would have been different and better..... hind sight is 20/20 so they say! you are in my thoughts today more then most! I need the words of hope and wisdom you use to say to me so bad right now! missing you always.....

I WOULD GIVE ANYTHING TO TALK TO YOU ONE MORE TIME! FOR YOU TO HOLD OUR BABIES AND REMIND CHESS HOW MUCH YOU LOVED HER AND MIRANDA ASWELL! THEY WERE YOUR CHEESADOLL! AND PANDA BEAR! It struck me today that the only time Alex was on the East coast was to be born, and to die. We hardly spent any of our life on East of the Rockies, most of our lives is/was in Washington. Alex was born in Biloxi, where our father died. We moved back to Washington, and spent most of our years here. Alex spent a year or so in Nashville with our Uncle Bill and Stephanie, then came back to Washington. He spent a few years in Texas, and then the Navy sent him East...Florida, Guantamao...New Orleans. Full circle.

My memory

Shelly Dec 29, 2009

Today I was reading over some picture comments of the kids, Cassie had mentioned how Ashton looked so serious, and it occured to me how they use to have nick names for one another and I can hear your voice as clear as a bell in my head calling them by those names! "Such a serious Shu Shu" lol, I am so thankful for all the memories I have been blessed to have with you and our children. and hold tightly on to them to share with the kids as they grow! I want them to know How Amazing you where and keep close in thier hearts the Amazing memories we all shared! I know things where not always perfect but thats life, but we always moved past them. what I do know is How bad we miss you and how much it still hurts even a year later to not have you here, not have you call or IM or TEXT us It broke my heart when your phone finally got turned off. I guess it was just another reminder that you were no longer here with us! I took the kids to your final resting place earlier this year. so peaceful and beautiful! we have made our own memorial for you here. even though its still not the same as having you here it is a soothing feeling to me to go there and talk with you, in time maybe it will serve the same for our babies! well it is time for me to get breakfast cooked for the kids, NO SPAM today! lol that was a priviledge only you enjoyed so much! and I think it was because I hated it so bad! but I still have the infamous White Chocolate Mocha's I got you hooked on every morning :) I love you and miss you and wish you where here to share one with me this morning and be here when our babies wake up. we miss the snoring! its just to quiet at night without you here!

Shelly (Feb 06, 2010)

Aw thats cute! thanks for sharing Cass! =)

Cassie Johnson (Feb 06, 2010)

Alex's nickname was "Bunky". For years I thought that was his real name. Of course, I was "sissy". Until we went to school, of course!
