AMBA NAYAK
"The body has death, but not the soul. The body sleeps, the soul flies.Even as man discards old clothes for the new ones, so the dweller in the body, the soul, leaving aside the worn-out bodies, enters into new bodies. The soul migrates from body to body. Weapons cannot cleave it, nor fire consume it, nor water drench it, nor wind dry it." - Bhagvad Gita
Amba Nayak was the Matriarch of the Pangal Nayak Family. She was a very strong, compassionate, and charitable woman. She handled life with immaculate grace and amazing strength. As the Wife of a freedom fighter (My grandfather, Pangal Laxminarayan Nayak), she was a participant in India's Struggle for freedom. I still remember the stories she used to tell us of the British Invading the house to arrest those who supported the cause of freedom. The morals, wisdom and values she has passed down will live forever through her family.
She is Survived by

The Pangal Nayak house in Katapady will never be the same without her.
On a side note. I have never ever in my life seen a woman instill such devotion in her children. Goplimam is like a incarnation of Shravan Kumar, from our epics. Sitarammam, my mom and Prafulakka all went to take of her in her time of need.
May god give them the strength to bear this loss.
