A teenage boy has been stabbed to death in broad daylight.
Amro Elbadawi, 14, of the Mozart Estate in Bruckner Street, West Kilburn, was fatally stabbed in Dart Street, Queen's Park, on Thursday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the Queen's Park Health Centre in Dart Street at 5.15pm to reports of a stabbed youth.
The boy, a British national whose family originate from Egypt, was taken to a central London hospital where he died an hour later.
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the murder and is being questioned at a north London police station.
A post mortem is due to take place later today (Friday) at Westminster mortuary and the next of kin have been informed.
DCI Andy Mortimer, Homicide and Serious Crime Command, said: "Amro's life has been cut short in a needless manner before it has really begun. He was loved by his family and friends who are devastated by today's events.

My last memory of dis lil mr man was when he came to my house to ask for my brother, he looked so shy, my mum asked if he wanted to come in and wait for my brother, and he smiled and said its ok, il wait outside, Amro was a friend of my brother and sister for many years, through Primary & Secondary school... I have loads of memeory's of him but that was the last memory, Watch over everyone Amro ok Sweetie Pie, your beautiful face is sadly missed, sometimes I walk through Mozart and I see boys of his age group with his build & that funny enough look like him, I bow my head in dissapointment Amro should be here, he should have been having snowfights with his friends last week, he should be here to have fun and laughter with his friends, thats what will stick with me forever I never saw Amro frown or upset he always had a smile on his face or had a look of peace... R.I.P my sweety watch over Mozart for us... Mwah X
