A teenage boy has been stabbed to death in broad daylight.
Amro Elbadawi, 14, of the Mozart Estate in Bruckner Street, West Kilburn, was fatally stabbed in Dart Street, Queen's Park, on Thursday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the Queen's Park Health Centre in Dart Street at 5.15pm to reports of a stabbed youth.
The boy, a British national whose family originate from Egypt, was taken to a central London hospital where he died an hour later.
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the murder and is being questioned at a north London police station.
A post mortem is due to take place later today (Friday) at Westminster mortuary and the next of kin have been informed.
DCI Andy Mortimer, Homicide and Serious Crime Command, said: "Amro's life has been cut short in a needless manner before it has really begun. He was loved by his family and friends who are devastated by today's events.
