About

SO YOUNG

Beyond his literary success, everyone who knew Andrew seems to convey that he was, above all, a conscientious man who was always thinking of others. Friends and family say that he always was very concerned with the well-boing of those around him, sometimes even to a fault, and as a result, he was always thought of highly by everyone.

As a testament to the respect for this young man, many people who knew him were flying in from around the United States and even overseas to be with his family and to attend the memorial service next week. The British Broadcasting Company (BBC) even made an announcement on its world-wide newscast that Andrew had passed away, to mourn the loss of the prominent author.

For his immediate family, it was not the loss of Andrew, the world-wide author that hurt them but the passing of the young man behind the novels.

What a tragic loss

Steve Smith Nov 09, 2011

I only discovered andrew britton a month ago, and was instantly impressed. as an avid reader of the espionage genre and an aspiring author myself, there were so many things i admired about his writing style, so i was devastated to learn of his death - and shocked at how young he was - just a few years older than myself. as far as i am concerned, each one of his books is right up there with the best of tom clancy, brad thor, daniel silva, and barry eisler. he will be missed.

For Andrew on his 30th Birthday Jan 6th 2011

IF I could have picked a son Andrew, I would have picked you. Your great sense of humor, your spirit your style. Your amazing love and affection, the joy in your smile , that ole Irish twinkle in your eye when you looked at us straight faced and tried to lie. Life holds many surprises , and you where mine, from the day they first to...ld me I was carrying you inside till the day that you so unexpectedly left us with a river to cry. I just loved knowing you watching you grow and since you left the healing is painful and slow. Yesterday you would have hit 30 a landmark in your life. WE raised a glass to you. To you past, to you present, to you always in our hearts . Happy 30th birthday Darling Andrew from all the family & Friends who will always love you and miss you xxxx

Legendary Career Cut Short

Mark McKee Jul 15, 2010

I am an avid reader of writers like Tom Clancy, James Patterson, Kyle Mills, Barry Eisler, Brad Thor, and Vince Flynn. These men are some of the most well known writers of the genre and have accomplished so much. However, after reading The American, I knew I had discovered the newest and most talented of writers. My heart goes out to his family and friends that have been stripped of so much more than just his talent. He was and is my favorite author and I only wish that the world would have had a chance to experience his ability to the fullest.
