Horrific Loss
A 15-year-old boy working construction near Winnipeg died yesterday after he was buried in hot asphalt. Police say the youth was working for a paving company doing road repairs at the time. His name is being witRating 2 eld at the request of his family. Officials with Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health are also investigating. Fire chief Wallace Drysdale said emergency crews arrived minutes after being notified of the accident yesterday morning. "There was a young man buried completely up to his hair in hot asphalt," he said. Drysdale said a construction company had been dumping a trailer full of asphalt into a massive pile to use for various projects around town. "He'd been standing behind the truck, from what we gather, and the load dumped on him. It knocked him over," he said. Two workers suffered burns while trying to get him out.

Andrew.... I'm at a loss for words.... It's been exactly 2 weeks since you left us. In fact now that I look at the clock, it is EXACTLY 2 weeks to the minute. I don't know how we're going on without you. I'm not ready.
I have sooo many memories of you.. I'm your sister, so I have all the embarrassing ones lol.
I remember when you were young, about 2 or 3 when we used to visit Nana and Papa. I used to run away from you and you would cry so hard. Then I'd come back to you and you'd give me the biggest hug ever. I didn't do it to be mean, I did it so I could keep receiving your hugs.
I remember when you were about 3 and you climbed out of your crib and peed in your closet.
Or when you were 5 and rode your bike to Aunty Vicki's at 7 pm to see mom and dad (who were there for coffee) and you only made it halfway down Prince Street, cause you thought the trees were walking towards you and you got scared. Of course you didn't think to run away, you just stood there scared.
When you were in Kindergarten and beat up a kid in Grade 3 (I won't mention names lol) because he was calling you buddy porkchop names.
And how could I forget when you were 12, you and I were watching A Walk to Remember. When the movie was over I looked at you and you had tears in your eyes. I asked "Andrew, are you crying?" and you replied "NO!! I'm just yawning" lol
Andrew, I'm proud to say you are my brother. I've never met anyone like you, and probably never will. You were so motivated in your work. You had so many great friends. The way you were with kids was amazing, they all loved you.
I love you Andrew
