♥ In Loving Memory of Arvid Alseth ♥

ALSETH, Arvid 1925 - 2009 On June 14, 2009, Arvid Alseth of Edmonton, Alberta passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, three days shy of his 84th birthday. He is survived by his loving wife Marion, and their faithful companion Rylee, children Linda Noel, Jim (Darlene), Sandy Cooper (Mark); grandchildren, Richard, Christina (Stephen), Kayla and Kari; sisters Clare Lowry, Myrna Ewaskow; sisters-in-law, Helen Alseth, Jessie Wagers and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Johann and Ebba; brother Ralph, and sister Ruth Allen. The family would like to express their appreciation to all the staff at the Kipnes Centre for Veterans for their outstanding care and compassion during his stay. A Funeral Service to honor Arvid will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Howard & McBride Westlawn Chapel, 16310 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton. It is certainly not easy to cope after a loved one dies. Everyone will mourn and grieve in their own ways. Mourning is the natural process you go through to accept an unimaginable loss, and grieving is the outward expression of that loss. This tribute page is designed to help express ones thoughts during this grieving process and immortalize Arvid’s memory. Blaine R Cooper > Father of Rich, an Christina , Still have Arvids big laugh an smile in my Memories , He always had a word of widom every time ya seen him ! Well respected in Oilpatch where he did earn a living, something we had in common, God bless his sole , May the Lord have a sweet spot for him !!! Unknown pain washes over me like the tears which drown my face and choke my senses. A angel took you right in front of my eyes, last sunday afternoon. A day that changed my life forever. It's so hard to admit your gone .Gone yet not forgotten, although we are apart your spirit lives within me, forever and ever in my heart. Oh how I MISS and LOVE you sooooo much. Today would have been your 84th Birthday! You once told me you're going to live till you were100. I wish God gave me just a few more days; then we could have celebrated this special day together. I have so many thoughts and memories going through my mind, I'm in a state of distress but I thank God I was blessed to have such a heroic man as a grandfather.
