Baby Falak RIP
This is a tribute to a little girl that I have never met, this tribute is to Baby Falak . This is not her birth name. Doctors who cared for her gave her this name, it means 'sky'. On January 18th baby Falak was brought into All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi India by a 14 year old girl who claimed to be her mother. Baby Falak suffered a fractured skull, bruises, and human bite marks all over her tiny body. Both cheeks and chest were covered in iron burns. Doctors knew that it was not accidental. Her injuries were consistent with having her head smashed against a wall, her face bitten. She was still fighting for life, during her 2 months stay in hospital this little baby had 5 life saving operations and suffered 2 heart attacks. Doctors even reported that she could be discharged from her hospital. But her little body could not fight such intensive injuries and she passed away on Thursday 15th March 2012 at only 2 years old. Her story goes into a much darker and distressing background of what she went through in her short life. I have a links below about her story and updates on arrests made.
