Q. Did Deborah Gail Partlow have a favorite or memorable family story?
A. Mom always had a story. Sometimes she would tell the story several times. I miss those stories A LOT! She was the glue that held the family together. She knew everyone's birthdays, anniversaries and what was going on in their lives. We all stayed in touch that way. Her favorite stories were about her grandkids. Everyone knew about her kids and grandkids :)

Q. Did Deborah Gail Partlow have a philosophy on life? Something he/she always said?
Q. What were Deborah Gail Partlow's religious or spiritual beliefs?
A. She was a Christian. I guess a person like Mom, who raised nine of us and always helped anyone she could, probably had a very strong prayer life. I can't imagine doing all she done and touching so many lives the way she did without faith and prayer. "Living on a prayer" would describe many moments in her life.

Q. Was Deborah Gail Partlow athletic? Attend sports games?
A. Mom was the most energetic person I've ever known. Her life alone should have been decalared a sport. She kept up with all of us and the grandkids! When most of us gave out, she was still going strong. I don't recall her being involved in any sports, aside from playing ball etc with us, but I know she sure attended a lot of sports events over the years. She was always the one with the hotdogs and other snacks. If someone needed a beverage, a first aid kit or anything else that one might need, she was the person to find at the event.

Q. Did Deborah Gail Partlow enjoy the arts – painting, writing, or music?
A. Mom loved listening to Granddad, her brothers, and Dad play music. She also enjoyed when Zach started playing the bass guitar. She loved doing crossword puzzles and coloring. And she could fix almost anything and make it look new. It didn't matter if it was a chair, couch, table, toybox, or whatever, she had a magical touch with what seem to have no potential.

Q. Was Deborah Gail Partlow an avid collector? Any quirky hobbies?
A. She collected kids and dogs. Seriously, I don't recall that house not having at least one kid and/or dog until she passed away. There was always room for one more and she always made time to take care of the child or dog as if it was the only one she had to take care of. She also collected cows and had started collecting other barn yard animals, like pigs and chickens when she became ill.

Q. Was Deborah Gail Partlow a romantic?
A. Mom didn't strike me as the romantic type. She loved dad a lot, but she never was the girlie type that done all the flowery mushy stuff.

Q. What were some of Deborah Gail Partlow's favorite foods?
A. Mom loved Chili relenos. She also liked peaches and cottage cheese. She had a way of making foods sound like they were delicious or great for us. We were very poor and she had so many mouths to feed and so many opinions attached to all of those hungry mouths. When we prepared for her funeral all of us were joking around about all the beans and about all the chocolate malt o meal we had endured. I'm positive that those two things were not on her favorite foods list. Although, she did like beans, I'm sure she would have enjoyed nice meals herself, but she always made everything about enjoying what we had in life. When we would go out and eat after we were grown, I recall her always getting Chili relenos or a chicken fried steak. At home, she ate a lot of fruit and cottage cheese. And of course she always had her cup of coffee or tea with her.
