About

Go Cubbies!

My dad was a die-hard Cubs fan, but as most of their fans know, the Cubs never seem to come out on top.  My dad always swore to everyone that the Cubs would not have a winning season until he was gone!  This is the first year that my dad has not been around to watch and they have been in first place the whole year....  Come on, Cubbies, win the world series for my old man!

My Memory Wonderful Man

mycorvette1 Aug 11, 2008

He was always very nice to our family, Always made us laugh. Gramma Nora, love him. She thought he was the best thing for Carol. I remember babysitting a few times for Donna and Billy, and he was the BEST! Our Mom & Dad, Emily & Joe thought of him as the GREATEST!! He is greatly missed and will always be remembered. Still brings tears to my eyes.

My Memory

I didn't know Jenna's dad too well, but one of my first memories of him was at her graduation party & showing us his model train set. It was so awesome & I can still remember the pride in his eyes. I remember him being a very friendly & quiet man, and I know where Jenna got her kindness from. Having lost my father in the spring before Jenna's wedding, the father-daughter dance really got to me. And I remember thinking how happy I was for Jenna that Mr. Ligacki could be there. I know that will be a memory she will treasure forever & ever. Godspeed!

A Family Man

albertsj1 Aug 01, 2008

Since we moved out to Indiana when I was 15, most of my memories of uncle Bill are of when I was younger. Uncle Bill was always an easy person to get along with and always made me feel welcome. He was a hard working man and it was very obvious that he loved his family very much. He's going to be missed by a lot of people.

The Joker

mycorvette1 Aug 01, 2008

I always remember Bill as the Joker. Even though he was usually a pretty serious guy, I remember at family gatherings or just getting together He always had some jokes to tell, or people to imitate which were always good for laughs and I think he really enjoyed making us laugh. Like the time he imitated my ex husband. I swear he had my stomach hurting from laughter! Or he would imitate Tim Conway or Guggenheim with the hat and the goofy faces! He could be so funny to be around. Bill was a good man, father and husband and I hope you rest in peace Bill. We miss you.
