While it might seem inappropriate, I want to thank the parents and youth who were involved in this terrible tragedy. They presented an excellent example of what our youth can do when well-trained and confronted with a terrible situation. As an assistant Scoutmaster and Eagle Scout, my heart aches for those who are hurt or have died - but at the same time, it is filled with pride that young men were so capable and so prepared.
My heart goes out to the families and brothers in scouting during this trying time for this community.I too lost a fellow friend and eagle scout just months ago.I can only say to cherrish the great scouting memories that you all shared with these young men.Always remember that they were doing what they loved to do.God Bless you all .
I have two sons in scouting. My heart goes out to the families for their loss. God must have had a good reason for calling them to him at their early ages.
On behalf of myself and my family please accept our condolences to all the families that have suffered.

May you find peace in memories of your beloved sons. Our hearts go out to the families of these fine young men, and to their scouting friends and leaders as well. After having been Scout leaders for many years, we know how attached one can become to these great kids. Our thoughts are with you.

It just makes my heart break that these fine young men were taken, thebest of thebest. It has yet to truly have sunk in. I am so proud of the young men that we're able to use thier skills successfully to help those that needed it most.
