About

BDL (my mother)

My mother had her own way of thinking ,caring and loving. She was raise in Wilmington Nc. She moved to DC in 1972. She was a smart woman . She was a loving mother as well as a loving grandmother. My mom was the care taker of my grandmother. She took all of it in strive. She wanted to return all the love that my grandmother have shown her through the good and bad times. My mother told me one day i should have been killed so many times but the Lord and mother prayers kept her here. So she was proud to take care of my grandmother. The job she did was wonderful.I told her she did the best she could have done. Not knowing in my moms last days she would repeat what i said to her about taking care of her. She could shock you!!!!!!!!!!!

Memories

when my mother tried to crip walk.

YAVON Jul 19, 2010

When i turned 33 i had a party and my mother came to it. She call me from everyone and said baby you are doing a great job. coming from her that was a great comment. When i turn to walk away she said Lisa look and i turn around and she tried to do the crip walk and that was so funny.

When the doctor told my mom she had cancer.

YAVON Aug 05, 2008

When the doctor told my mom she had cancer. I felt so empty inside . I just buried my grandmother and dad. I said to my self Lord not my mom. He touch me to let me know your not alone in this world im here for you always. That was all i needed to hear from him and then i could face anything. I did not know they would be worst days. Through God we all made it.She was at peace with all that was going on. The hard part was telling my kids that their grandmother was dying. I ask the Lord to guide my words as i talk to my kids. My daughter Shonronda said she will be just fine. Grandma is tired and it is selfish for us to want her to stay and suffer because we are sad,So when they call us to her we already made it up in our mines to tell her if she is ready then we are also. The best memory is when we prayed for her and when we were done she said now let me pray for myself.I was so happy to know she felt the Lord there with us.She was not afraid she was encourged... Thank you Jesus!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

When my mother saw her first grand.

YAVON Aug 05, 2008

My mom was so happy when she finally saw her grandbaby.
She was so happy she would even shed tears. She love her so much. When i had my son she was so happy to see him. She called him man. My mother was happy when i had my baby girl. I know how she felt because i had my grandson 3yrs. and a month from her death. Mom you are missed but never forgotten. We love you and always will.
