About
Son in fatal stabbing
A man has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of a 26-year-old man stabbed to death in a street.
Craig Ivey of Gilfach Goch, Rhondda Cynon Taf, was stabbed with a knife at Nantyffyllon near Maesteg, Bridgend county, early on Monday.
An arrest followed an appeal by the father of 32-year-old Adrian Miles from Maesteg to contact police over the death of Mr Ivey.
The arrested man is being held at Bridgend where he will be questioned.
Two other people were injured in the fatal stabbing incident, a 32-year-old man who was bitten by a dog and a 31-year-old woman who needed stitches to a finger wound.
Officers used a Taser gun to subdue a Rhodesian Ridgeback dog after being called to the scene.
An incident room has been set up at Bridgend Police Station.
Officers had previously said they believed Mr Ivey knew his attacker and the stabbing was not a random incident.
Police moved to assure the community saying incidents involving knives within the area were extremely rare.
