Memories

Danny's mother-in-law a/k/a mOm

Valerie Proffitt May 01, 2009

This fine young man was my son-in-law by law, but like my son. He was a Marine's Marine and he was so proud of his job, his kids that he served with and stood with honor in the Marine uniform! I and we were blessed to have him in our family. Not one day goes by without speaking of him, more often than not with a smile or a chuckle. Danny, your son talks of you all the time, and misses you terribly. He often tells his Nana, you did a dee ta dee. Sound familiar. I know you are there looking over him every minute of the day and we can see that in the silent moments of the day. We love and miss you so much. Hey, Danny, keep a look-out over Gavin until he is safely home from Iraq this summer. I love and miss you soooo much!

My Memory

Melanie Sep 09, 2008

I went to High School with Danny and haven't seen him since but we did keep in touch, especially a lot right before his death. He talked about seeing his son and how he couldn't wait for Christmas. I took this news so much harder than I thought, and I still think about him all the time. When I get back to louisiana I will visit so I can finally get some closure and say goodbye. Love you my friend.
