Semper Fi

He was the best and most inspiring marine I’ve ever had a privilege of leading me. Always listened and cared for his marines, and always took time after work to hang out with us around the barracks. He was a great person to be around and is greatly missed. Thanks for everything ssrgt, simper fi

God Bless Brother.

I had the privilege of serving under SSGT. Dupre for over a year. He was more than just a Platoon Sergeant he was a true leader and always "put the boys first." The thing that sticks out most in my head is that he was always very approachable, always got the job done, and at the end of the day... was just one of the guys. A few qualities that every SNCO needs to take a lesson from.

Until we meet again brother. God bless.

Danny, Happy Birthday to the USMC!

mOm Nov 10, 2011

Danny loved celebrating this special day! The Marines state, “We won’t stand down until our mission is complete.” You never did, Danny! Never a day you aren't missed! Daniel is now 7 years old, and is learning about his Daddy's loves and experiences. He talks about you with such joy.

Danny's mother-in-law a/k/a mOm

Valerie Proffitt May 01, 2009

This fine young man was my son-in-law by law, but like my son. He was a Marine's Marine and he was so proud of his job, his kids that he served with and stood with honor in the Marine uniform! I and we were blessed to have him in our family. Not one day goes by without speaking of him, more often than not with a smile or a chuckle. Danny, your son talks of you all the time, and misses you terribly. He often tells his Nana, you did a dee ta dee. Sound familiar. I know you are there looking over him every minute of the day and we can see that in the silent moments of the day. We love and miss you so much. Hey, Danny, keep a look-out over Gavin until he is safely home from Iraq this summer. I love and miss you soooo much!

My Memory

Melanie Sep 09, 2008

I went to High School with Danny and haven't seen him since but we did keep in touch, especially a lot right before his death. He talked about seeing his son and how he couldn't wait for Christmas. I took this news so much harder than I thought, and I still think about him all the time. When I get back to louisiana I will visit so I can finally get some closure and say goodbye. Love you my friend.

A Hero

The death of a soldier will never go unnoticed. Danny's bravery will live on with his son and we will never forget the loving man that he was.
