About

In loving memory of Dano

Dano, Dano, Dano where do we start his 12 years of  life on god's green earth he did so much and touch so many lives and was loved by all. Dano was a fun person full of life, church person involved in the choir, school choir the boy just loved to sing. Dancing bella, drum player Dano is what we call an all- rounder. He was well known in the village and in Dominica. His last performance was at christ the king which was viewed by the nation. He worn so many awards in school and outside activitives.

All this came to an abrupt stop on saturay 7. feburary.2003 by scums on the earth. The village came to a stand still by the news that the body of darno was found at the back of the public convience in "chem neuf".

It was unbelieveable day for us we still have not really come to terms with his death. His mum had to be called with the news she could not understand that someone out there could have taken away her one and only baby from her. She felt like her life was over, no reason for living. We all had try to be strong for each other. we search and search for his killers along side the police at last someone was held responsible for his death his he was held in custody for 4years and then was released without charge.

Darnel still lives on in our hearts and will still live on in our generation to come. One day his killer or killers will be found or god will deal with them accordingly.

May the perputual light shine on him and may the soul of his soul rest in peace.

My Memory

Marisa Jul 24, 2008

Don't know what words would fit the love that this young man brought into the world. He was truly blessed with the gift of making others feel loved and able to laugh. The last time I saw Darno was on a video that he sent over xmas. We all sat at the table having dinner and he told us to come home because we don't know what we are missing. He was right.

You never miss the water till the well runs dry.

I am now residing in Dominica and pass his grave on a regular basis. Believe me - he is gone but not forgotten. The amount of stories that I have been told about the way he just took people's kids for the afternoon just for a stroll. The way he loved his Belle' dancing and church involvement.

All in all - he was just a child and no matter what the world may think or say - we will fight for his justice be it by prayer or through the justice system ( as inadequate they have proven to be).

Darnell - Gorgeous young man and now spirit - we know you are with the one above and that you will be blessed always.

Will love you and will never forget you boy!
