About

Daredevil Author

Dave Freeman, the co-author of 100 Things to Do Before You Die, has died after hitting his head in a fall at his home. He was 47.

Mr Freeman died on 17 August after the accident, his father, Roy Freeman, revealed.

An advertising agency executive, Mr Freeman visited about half the places on his list before he died, and either he or his co-author, Neil Teplica, had been to nearly all of them.

The book's recommendations ranged from the obvious – attending the Academy Awards and running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain – to the more obscure – taking a voodoo pilgrimage in Haiti and "land diving" on the island of Vanuatu, which Mr Freeman once called "the original bungee jumping".

The book included goofy graphics with each entry, indicating that some activities were "down and dirty" and others "grandma friendly".

Living life to its fullest

I definitely believe in Dave's motto, to live life to its fullest. Its a pity he did not get to finish his list, but at least hes done a lot more than people older than him have done or ever will do.
