Once again i find myself looking at old tapes i even making my kids read charlie the
caterpillar one more time and yet i i am not sad on his passing just sad that the quick wit and
contagious smile that Mr Deliuise had and it gives great comfort to see that his wife Carol and as i can see is also being shared by his children I am sure there were some good days and bad days like in my family growing up but the good days way out numbered the bad
so for all the family and friends that want to smile just watch or read a story of Mr Deluise

I remember going to his mothers house in Brooklyn on 12th Ave and 66St.. My mother and his mom were friends and when my dad passed away ,his mom had an apartment for rent..We looked at it but it to small. I always remember his mom shopping on 11th avenue in the old neighborhood..She was so proud of her son..Dominick.. She even showed us his costumes in the basement.. He was such a lovely warm hearted man.. May he rest in peace and may the Angels watch over him

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of a truly gifted actor. My favorite part of the Cannonball series was with the elephant. You could feel the emotion he had for this animal.
To Dom's family and friends, my heart goes out to all of you. This world has lost a very special person. Thanks for the laughs. Rest in peace.
So much of comedy is dependant on a natural talent. Dom was the best, his ease of delivery with just the right tonemade many people laugh. I remember him back as a standup comedian who did all the big shows. He was one of the top 5 comedians of all time. His acting career was just as good. But the most important thing was his family, he was the best family man around. He took care of things He will be sorely missed, we can only hope to use the example set forth by him.
What a truly funny man,I have never felt loss with the passing of someone I never knew. Growing up,he was on Tv,and in the movies it seemed all the time. I don't remember a
time in my chilhood not seeing this man. I too,am an Italian-American(Chicago),what
a great paisan gone too soon. ooory was mine tOne of my first cookbooks purchased as a newly -wed was "Eat This"........responsible for my love of reading cookbooks like novels....as did he...I wasn't nuts! I knew we must have been related, that story was the same as mine. My deepest sympathies to" Mrs D." & and those wonderfully handsome sons.Benidice Famiglia DeLuise
Really sad to read the news earlier today. I grew up watching the films like Cannonball run and Smokey and the bandit II. The film i really loved was THE END. I can still remember watching Doms first scene with Burt Reynolds when he pretended to be a doctor when he was infact a mental patient. It was one of the greatest scenes in comedy movies. I laughed so much i though my throat would split. Even now when watching that scene i cry with laughter and i know what is going to happen. Also the bit in SILENT MOVIE when he dances on the table as it falls down is hilarious. RIP Dom Deluise, Thanks for all the laughs xxx Pavo xxx
In the early 1980s at a performance of Noises Off in New York, I sat next to Mr. DeLuise and his momma. I remember looking over and eyeing this comedic genius I had so admired, and he said to me, "Young man, would you help my momma with her coat; there's a reward in it for you". I laughed, helped his mother with the sleeve of her coat closest to me and said thank you to him. He was unaware, but my thank you was for all those years of laughter. What a lovely man and respected comic actor!
