Inspirational Youth
Dominic Cheshire was a remarkable and award winning youth. Suffering from spina bifida , Dominic played wheelchair basketball for Oldham Owls, represented his county at wheelchair racing and hoped one day to represent his country. In 2003 he was awarded the Princess Diana Memorial Award for inspirational young people after scooping more than 80 medals at various competitions. He was also awarded for inspirational young people.
"Dominic was a fun, caring young man who was always willing to please," family said. "Dominic had overcome many obstacles in his life and always came through a better person. He will be greatly missed by all who he had met on his short journey through life."
