Don had a fulfilling career as a Land Surveyor and Civil Engineer. Articles that Don wrote were published in National Publications which included; "The Surveyor and The Information Highway" - March/April 1993 and "Designing for the First Flush" - About the North Irving Transit Center, Irving Texas - Civil Engineering Magazine - November 1995.

Don taught surveying classes for Job Corps in 1963. Was a Panel Member of Urban Land Institute, Land Development Symposium, 1968.  Was a Charter Member of American Planning Association, 1978.  Don was accepted into MENSA, 1988. I hope you are finally resting in Peace

Loved to be surrounded by children

Brenda Flick Jul 30, 2008

The list of children above is missing a few names. Dons heart was bigger than Texas. From a former marriage he legally adopted Brandon Grisham, and also spent a few years raising Brandon's sister Brenda Belyeu. He was a very loving man, always wanting to share experiences with you, very open minded. ( Don I still don't like Sushi.) I don't think he would have ever gotten tired of having kids around. Such a jolly soul and always fun to be around. God bless, see you soon enough!

A word from a business associate

Paul May 15, 2008

I’m so sorry for your loss. Don was a great man and I learned a lot from him. Though the Lord has called him to the heavens above, he will live on through all the lives he’s touched.

God bless, Paul

Psalm 18
1 I love you, O LORD, my strength.
2 The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.
He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Those wild shirts..

Amanda Wisdom May 13, 2008

I will always think of Uncle Don and smile anytime I see someone wearing one of those fun and crazy "Hawaiian" shirts. Most of my family calls me "Amanda", but Uncle Don is one of the few that always called me Mandy. I always liked that. I was able to tell him that before he passed.
