A. I don't believe he was on any sports teams as a child. Don loved playing golf as an adult and loved teaching are children how to play.

A. He did attend some college and went on to get his lisence as a Civil Engineer and was registered in many states (i.e. Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Kentucky and Land Surveyor in Kansas, Oklahoma, Rhode Island and Connecticut)

A. Don loved children. He took in and raised two nephews, adopted a boy from a previous marriage. He would spend his last dime to make sure family children were cared for.

A. Liked Art. Had a collection, but was stolen out of storage space. He had odds and ends of collections (i.e. hub caps off his Rolls Royce he once owned, Swords, Fred the snake, books of all kinds, records, etc...)

A. Yes, he was...he wrote this poem for me about when we first met and how we were always best friends... Light of My Life I came into her complex, Tired, hungry and really sad I needed to get an apartment I needed it really bad.. She had a smile that glowed And a personality so great They needed some extra time So I just had to wait A couple of days went by Before the deal was done And by that time I had decided That she was really One. One that could charm you And make you laugh or cry. Just a little country girl And she could make you sigh Her naivete was so sweet And her honesty so charming Everything about her Was comfortable and disarming (Her children were as cute as they could be Took after their Mom, it was plain to see.) After moving in, we became good friends (And we still are today) We laughed and talked and The time just passed away A heart was stolen by this lady From one who would never love again. But how can you stop it When your love is also your best friend. Secrets between us, there were none We learned to trust each other Complimentary, we certainly are, Weakness in one the other has strength to cover. She has my love and it holds tight This I surely know Cause this wonderful lady Has my heart and it will never go Away from her in all my life Or till the world shall end Because she is my true love And best of all, my friend. A. Ozarks of Arkansas hands down! We took a lot of short family trips there, and we were never disappointed.

A. We took many short vacations with the kids. He always wanted them to be exposed to new things, have fun and learn along the way. We visited more than 37 states on one two week trip...the longest we ever took at one time. We traveled to Washington D.C. and New York and Connecticut, then Canada "Niagra Falls" then back to Connecticut where we made our journey home. Some states along the way was Mississippi, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Vermont, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and many more...
