You know - as a kid i watched and she was the perfect babe. She was like a mum - but better - the type you want to grown up and fall in love with.
And i was in love before puberty - so go figure.
When she passed away it was disbelief - what are the stages of grief - sadness anger etc etc. I do not know because i do not know how to get past the announcement, so to speak.
At the end when my life all flashes across my eyes and plays back those last moments - this Elizabeth Montgomery babe will be there in my re-runs.
Seriously - not even catwoman on batman is up there as much.
Not even the theme to the partridge family will be up there.
Not even the brady bunch will be up there.
Not even butch cassidy and the sundance kid will be up there.
Not even the music 'the sting' will be up there.
Not even 'explosive hits 74' will be up there.
Just a kid in a house (in sunny Perth, Australia) near the ocean - who watched the apollo moon walk live when at primary school. Who used to think the local lawnmower man as a hero because he was so...... tanned. Who had black and white TV that never looked quite right - because color had not been invented (not that i knew that then).
( cannot actually remember when i saw the first show on TV but it is all in that period of time for me)
Opps that is not right - not Elizabeth Montgomery. Damn i am stuck there on that thought.
I think the loss is i will never be on set - never be there and never see the actors interacting. I bet she was a flirt. That the atmosphere was always there.
I saw a photo of signatures on the door - so it looked to be all a lot of fun.
Thanks for your site - i have been wanting to express my thoughts for some time now - to someone.
I am lucky to have seen her on TV.
