I only heard the tragic news of Esther's death today. I met her many years ago when I first moved to Paris. I lost touch years ago also, but I've never forgotten her - she was one of those rare and special people that you don't forget, nor do you want to.

I was with her the night we heard the news that Princess Diana died, and I remember Esther commenting as we drove home that she felt so sick inside hearing this. I feel the same now over hearing the news of Esther's death.

My thoughts and prayers are with Ed and their children as they've been healing these past couple of years, and that they will continue on to live long and happy lives as Esther would want.

My colleague Martha told me about Esther and how devastating all this is. It is very hard to accept this. I hope you find a way in time.
I just noticed the picture of Esther that was not there earlier. It makes it even more difficult to realize. She looks like a very open person to me.
