when i was 7 or 8 i had to take my pictures for school. my grandma woke me up early in the morning. ofcourse fed me. and made sure i was dressed to a T. (i wore a grey suit). I was so afraid to take those pictures. when i told her how scared i was, she started to sing "dont worry be happy". all the way to school she sang that song. and would u believe it, by the time i got there i wasnt afraid anymore. matter of fact i was cheesin in that picture. she always knew just what to do.

Mama Vance went to New Mexico with me and Curtis to be a Cottage Chef. We had a function with all the dignitaries and she made 2 peach cobblers and 2 cherry cobblers and 2 sweet potato cobblers. We all told Curtis he better get some when he got his food. He said "Aw Naw it will be some" About 20 minutes later we look over and there is Jack Self the Executive Director of the NM Children Home -- he has the last pan of cobbler up in the air shoveling the remnants of the cherry cobbler onto his plate. 20 minutes and it was all gone . Curtis could not believe it.
