Q. What is a funny childhood memory you have of Garry Lee Stephens?
A. The Little Black baby doll story..... My Brother absolutely hated my favorite new doll... It was my first black baby doll and I was about 4 years old... My Brother has some friends over playing out of the haystacks in front of our country house... I wanted to play with them, but of course having a little bratty sister hanging around when his buddy's were over he wasn't real happy about it... He took his sibling revenge out on me and hid my doll in the haystacks to where I couldn't find it... and no matter how much I cried.. he wasn't going to find it for me... He confessed to me after we got older he threw it away.... I always told him after we grew up, someday you are going to buy me my black baby doll to make up for the one you hid from me... That story made us both laugh so many times over the years....

A. In Loving Memory Garry Lee Stephens No longer in plain sight Yet I will see you tonight ...In my dreams Tears stream down my face No one will ever replace Sunshine comes through Birds chirping fills the air Yet, my heart feels heavy...I feel blue But I cannot despair No, no, it can't be true You're not coming back...it isn't fair I scream, I shout this must be a nightmare I just want out The twinkle in your eye The smile upon your face I must stop asking why And hold that vision dear..... It's not good-bye forever But rather, I will see you later!

Q. Did Garry Lee Stephens have siblings? Were they close?
A. Yes... he had one sibling, Me.... He was two years older than me and we were very close when were teenagers. He was my best friend... His nickname for me was Tinky/Tink Over the years we both got married and started families and we still kept in touch. In 2003 I needed help, we lost our home and Garry opened his home to me and my children. He was very happy to help me and my children get back on our feet. Mom and Dad could see trouble coming, with brother and sister living together and we both swore it would be fine.... over the months we lived with him, the first 6 months went great... this is when I was able to have the last memories with my brother I want to keep the good ones and try and forget the last few months went things didn't so go well with us try and forget them.. After we moved away from Garry's Sutter home, we never spoke again... I have so many regrets about not mending things with him before he died. I do know I loved my brother even when we did and said things to hurt each other... I know Garry's heart was in the right place, he loved his sister and I know he forgives me now.... I just wish I could tell him face to face how much I love him and how sorry I am... But that will have to wait until we meet again...

Q. Did Garry Lee Stephens have a favorite or memorable family story?
A. It was a story we often would laugh about... When we were younger every summer Mom and Dad would take us to Bandon Or, (" where they live now" ) to see our Grandmother. Garry and I would ride in the back seat of the car and on the long rides wasn't much else to do but to sleep sing along with Mom and Dad's Oldie but Goodie music... and of course argue... butt there were a few games we would play.. Garry and I would give each other Charlie horses and see if we could take the pain of the punch without making a noise.. and of course the famous paper -rock -scissors game.. (yes they even had it 30 years ago)... Me being the youngest our parents would often believe me when I would tell on Garry.. Yes, even when he didn't do anything wrong... I would take revenge on losing a game and try and get him into trouble... I would wait until some time had passed and wait until our parents yelled " This is the last time were going to tell you kids" ENOUGH!!! to take that time to slap myself loud in the arm and yell " OUCH Garry and cry....out Mom and dad said enough!! through my tears of revenge I would say.. Mommy! Garry hit me... He would get in trouble and I was satisfied! that was until they caught onto the game I was playing... Garry and I would laugh about how evil I was when we got older....
