About

George

George was a revolutionary playwright and creator of avant-garde anti semitic works in post war German theatre.  He was born in Hungary and left 1936.  His father and other family members died at Auschwitz.  His writings were often dark farces of the Nazis.  He wrote the play Mein Kampf, and co-wrote the scripts for the Hitchcock films I Confess and The Young Lovers.  After living in England and Hollywood, he finally settled in Berlin and died near the Berliner Theatre that he founded surrounded by family and close friends.
