About

My Sister's Life

On July 16, 1962 a beautiful baby girl was born to Helen and William Napoleon. She was the  middle girl in a family filled with love and dedication. She grew up with all her siblings....yes more would come after her her younger brother Darryel would come soon after her and after him would come her younger sister Evetta then her youngest sister Jossette. Gwen grew up a happy child that learned how to cook and bake like no one's business. Her favorite color was red She loved listening to slow jams and her absolute favorite season was summer

She soon blossomed into a vibrant teenagaer who fell in love and soon married her husband James they would go on to have five wonderful children three boys Steven, James and William and two girls Aisha and Lorraine. She was a dedicated and loving mother to all her children. She was the epitamy of a good mother working long hours and sleeping short ones to provide her children with all she could. These children would grow up to be strong women and men who would give their mother the best gift of all....13 grandchildren.

Gwen loved being a grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Watching them all grow and marveled in all their accomplishments. Learning to walk, speaking for the first time and all the other accomplishments and proud grandma boasts about to her friends about her "grandbabies".

Gwen took her love for cooking and tunneled that into a career. She became a chef at a local nursing home. She continued to touch people with her vibrant smile and loving ways. She will be deeply missed but her memory will live on with all that she has touched

My Memory

diamond10601 Jun 23, 2008

My fondest memory of Gwen is at my son's baby shower. She looked so happy to see her new nephew and to be around family. Her smile was so warm and she just made me feel so comfortable around her. Darryel just seemed to shine when he stood next to his sister. I made this tribute page so that everyone could come add pictures of Gwen and share their stories and memories. I know her memory will live on.
