My biggest memory of G-pa was going to Oklahoma every summer. Around that time i was still just a little girl and he was bound to his electric wheelchair. He used to sit us in his lap and take us for rides. Another memory i have is knowing he lost the function to be able to do simple things that we take advantage of. He loved to eat sandwitches, and like a good grandaughter, I'd watch him bend over to the table for a bite of it, watch him chew it, and open up his mouth so i could take the butter knife and scrape the bread off that stuck to the roof of his mouth..I'm thankful that I got to stay a bit longer the last trip there, cuz it was the last time I got to spend with him. Love you G-pa and Miss you bunches.
I remember when we went to the lake camping, we had church, singing, praying, taking communion. He always made sure we had our church service even when we all went camping. He was a very strong man even when he got als he remained strong and in good spirits. Even when Juanice would feed him and drop green peas down his house shoes. He played santa once for the kids and always had a story to tell.
