About

Justice for Heidi

A man who stabbed an Australian woman to death in her Bali villa in February has escaped being jailed for life.

On February 10 this year Heidi Murphy was stabbed 37 times after she disturbed 23-year-old Ahmad Fahrul Rosi robbing her villa.

Prosecutors had recommended that Rosi be sentenced to life in prison, but judges at Denpasar District Court today sentenced him to 15 years' jail.

Rosi pleaded with the judges and apologised to the dead woman's family, saying that his "intention was only to steal because I was pushed by economic needs".

Outside the court, Heidi Murphy's ex-husband said he was not satisfied and would appeal against the sentence.

To the Family of Heidi

Monique Vivian Aug 02, 2009

I have'nt this beautiful angel, but I was moved to comment when I read about another senseless tragedy.

My deepest condolences to her family and love ones.

This is too common in our lawless society and I for one can not tolerate one more act of sensless violence. I am a mother and cant imagine what her parents have endued. I wll pray for her and her family!

My Memory ,Amanda

I met Heidi 10 years ago, she had a beauty, grace and creativity few people in this world can ever hope to have. I am so deeply upset to think that a stupid act of violence has taken Heidi away from her family and friends forever. Heidi and her lovely Mum Toni are in my thoughts every sinlge day and will always be.

Heidi was one of the sweetest, most creative, loving, and kind creatures that I have ever been so lucky to know. She was a house guest in my home for 2 months and was always delight shining. Vibrance that is transcending these times.
Heidi you are forever in our hearts!
Love always

It's nearly a year ago that we lost Heidi and now my mind travels back to the days we had together.
I remember her smiles and that laugh, and the way she made us feel.
Love you Heidi
And I know you are now in a safe place.
