A. She was a graduate of North Mercer, Missouri Reorganized School District. This is a combined elementary, middle school, and high school. She graduated in 1964, only 16 graduates! To my knowledge, she maybe only the second or third to pass away from her class. Mercer, Missouri has about 300 people in it. The county is Mercer, the county seat is Princeton, and the entire population of the county is around 3, 500 people... The smallest populated county in the state of Missouri! Mercer County, Missouri is bordered to the North by Wayne County, Iowa. The home she lived in as a child, still stands on the highway today. Nearly right on the Iowa/ Missouri border. Female Western Pioneer Rebel ,Clamity Jane is from Princeton, Missouri.

A. I believe typical small-town people, trying to find something to do, without having to go to the bigger cities of Des Moines, Iowa, St. Louis and Kansas City, Missouri.

A. She really didn't change too much. She had many, many close friends before and after graduation. Some of those friendships have lasted 25, 35, 40, and even over 50 years! Many of her friends are also very close to her two boys! Some of them we call our Aunts and Uncles! That's how close some of them are to our family.

A. When she was courting with my father, she was forbidden to drive anywhere but to school and home. That's because she fell asleep at the wheel! My Mom would take the car North and have a mechanic roll back the odometer! And she was able to be with my dad.

A. As an adult, we had a family pet dog named Gretchen. For some reason when she would have to go releive herself, she would alway wake up my Mother. Like clock-work, 3:00 in the morning. Our dog Gretchen would rarely wake anyone else up. My mother used to like to take her baths at night, and vacuum at night when we were kids! I sleep better with some certain noises! Like running water, or a running vacuum. I always wished she would run the bath water or leave the vacuum running all night!
