susan was born on the 3 march 1951 the first of four children to ken and irene crossley she had her only daughter ellen in 1970 she married brian in 1971 she was a grandma to alan thomas charlie and ioni and great gran to riley she was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 years ago had a mastectomy the was diagnosed with liver cancer last year susan became ill and was taken into wakefield hospice where she lost her fight against cancer on 27 may 2008 her funeral was on 6 june at st pauls church followed by interrment at sugar lane cemetery her coffin was carried in a glass hearse drawn by two black horses with white plooms on their heads it was a wonderful sight to see her going out in style just as she deserved
