Wow, you don't realize the impact of the "GREATS" until a day such as this arrive. Isaac was I-iced soul * C-charismatic * O-original * N-never forgotten sound. I am so glad that I have had the opportunity to ride on the waves of some the best sounds of r & b growing up. He truly remains at the top of the A-list of music. Nothing like music that touches your soul when played. My condolences to the Hayes family. Mr. Hayes you will be sorely missed. Love ya!

I still have most of his albums! He showed us all how to be Cool!
He even made being bald a very cool thing indeed! I am bald just like
one of my mentors.... Isaac Hayes! Only a very innovative brother
could wear a chain vest and pull it off! Dude, you really are going
be missed!

We have lost a household legend that was played on a daily basis in the early and late 70's. His music was a instrument that could sooth the soul of the average sister or brother that was in trouble or trying to fix a problem. He will be truly missed. His music will continue to live on as a instrument of strength to the soul.

Years ago I heard Isaac on a Kiss FM interview in NYC where he was talking about music, and how you had to give a little of yourself in the music. This inspired me to continue writing, and making music. I had coveyed this story to him as a myspace friend in recent history, and thanked him for being there musically during my childhood to present days. He is still with us. In all of Us. When you here him sing, you can,t help but sing along. This is what he gave us. Him... in Us... He gave himself... You will always be loved for this... Live eternal my father... Live Eternal.....
