WHAT MAKES A GOOD DAD

God took the strength of a mountain,

The majesty of a tree,

The warmth of a summer sun,

The calm of a quiet sea,

The generous soul of nature,

The comforting arm of night,

The wisdom of the ages,

The power of the eagle's flight,

The joy of a morning in spring,

The faith of a mustard seed,

The patience of eternity,

The depth of a family need,

Then God combined these qualities,

When there was nothing more to add,

He knew His masterpiece was complete,

And so, He called it ... "DAD!"

 

 

 

 

You can shed tears that he is gone

 or you can smile because he lived

You can close your eyes and pray he'll come back

or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left

Your can be empty because you cant see him

or you can be full of the love you shared

You can turn your back on tomarrow and live yesterday

or you can be happy because of yesterday

You can remember him and only that he is gone

or you can cherish his memory and let it live on

You can cry and lose your mind

be empty and turn your back

or you can do what he'd what

smile. open your eyes, and go on loving

Trying each day to live in a way that would make him proud
