Death of a soldier

Another Valley Soldier has been killed in Iraq.

The Department of Defense confirmed the death of a soldier supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

23-year-old Pvt. Janelle F. King of Merced died Aug. 14 in Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries suffered in a non-combat related incident. King had been assigned to the 115th Combat Support Hospital, Fort Polk, La.              

The incident is still under investigation.           

Private King is the fifth soldier from Merced to die in the war on terror.

God bless you Janelle,you are now in peace,no more dust,tormenent or death.You are as the great hymnist said: Onward Christian soldiers............may your family be comforted at this time and whenever they need to talk to God.You are a most precious soldier whose life ended no at a convenient time but at the time that was God's will.I salute your patriotism and your valour.
