About
Bio
Born in Lochgilphead, Argyll and Bute, MacIntyre moved to Fort William when he was ten years old. He started cycling at the relatively late age of 18, and won the Tour of the North in Northern Ireland at the age of 23. He represented Scotland at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester. He was the first Scot to win the British Circuit race time trial championship, in 2006, and won the British 25-mile time trial twice, in 2006 and 2007
