Joe Rincon
Joe Robert Rincon, age 55, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, went to be with the Lord on June 19, 2008 while in Houston, Texas where he had bravely fought an illness. He was a lifelong resident of El Paso and a member of the Catholic Church. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and those whose lives he touched. He will always be remembered for his kindness, dedication, and generosity to his family, friends and community. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Elizabeth (Betty) Rincon of 22 years, daughters Jacqueline Rincon and Elizabeth Núñez (Tony Núñez). Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren, Isaiah, Mark and Joseph Núñez, brothers, Daniel Silva, Louie and Carlos Rincon and sisters Lupe Coffey, Mary Esther Martinez, Edna Zuniga and Lina Ruiz. Joe was predeceased by his parents, Grace and Cruz Rincon. He graduated from Bowie High School in 1971. He earned a full scholarship to the University of Texas at El Paso where he earned his Masters in Educational Psychology. He worked as a teacher for the El Paso Independent School District for five years, and recently retired as a devoted school counselor of 23 years for the Ysleta Independent School District at Marion Manor Elementary School. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, June 27th at Funeraria Del Angel Martin Central where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, June 28th at 9 a.m. at St Pius X Catholic Church (1050 N. Clark Dr.). Serving as pallbearers will be brothers, Daniel, Louie and Carlos, brother-in -laws, Joe Garcia Jr. and Hector Gutierrez Jr., son- in- law Tony Núñez. The family is very grateful for the wonderful and loving care that was provided to Joe while hospitalized at Las Palmas, Providence and St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston, Texas. We also would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Jaime Midez, Dr. Dionicio Alvarez, Dr. Vinaychandra Patel, Dr. William Fisher, Dr. Lee, Dr. Alexis Jacob and many more. We love you Joe. Memories of you will be held close to all of our hearts until we meet again.
