John Hughes lives on
John Wilden Hughes Jr. was a talented film director, producer and screenwriter. With productions including National Lampoon’s Vacation, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Weird Science, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Beethoven, Uncle Buck, 101 Dalmatians and Home Alone 1, 2 and 3, he worked on some of the most successful films of the 1980s and 1990s.
At the age of 59, while visiting his family in Manhattan, Hughes suffered from a heart attack, several minutes later he passed away in the Roosevelt Hospital. Even though John Hughes has passed away, his spirit will live on as his movies will still be putting a smile on the face of millions for many years to come.
