About

He ain't heavy he's my brother

The road is long
With many a winding turn
That leads us to who knows where
Who knows where
But I'm strong
Strong enough to carry him
He ain't heavy, he's my brother

So on we go
His welfare is of my concern
No burden is he to bare
We'll get there

For I know
He would not encumber me
He ain't heavy, he's my brother
If I'm laden at all
I'm laden with sadness
That everyone's heart
Isn't filled with the gladness
Of love for one another
It's a long, long road
From which there is no return
While we're on the way to there
Why not share
And the load
Doesn't weigh me down at all
He ain't heavy he's my brother
He's my brother
He ain't heavy, he's my brother

Memories

Truly Missed

Terrence Brown Jul 23, 2012

I served in the Marine Corps with John when he first got out of boot camp. I assisted with his training when we were with MWHS-2 G-1 Plans at Cherry Point, NC. John was a good friend and I was saddened to hear of his passing. My prayers go out to his family and close friends. He will truly be missed.

Good Man till the end

JANICE Apr 02, 2011

I have known John for many years. First at Eau Claire High School when he joined the band and later at South Carolina State University where he joined the Marching 101 Band. He was many things to many people. Above all else he was loyal, dedicated, driven, and honest. We miss you, Bovain!
