Q. What was John Casper Randen's first job? Did he/she like it?
A. The first job that I remember John having was working at ACT 2 restaraunt in Hudson Wisconsin.
It was a good job for him and he made good money!! HOWEVER...... this is where he found out he
was VERY ALLERGIC to shrimp!! He was de-shelling and boiling shrimp.... and started to swell up
in the face! YES.... he was allergic to shrimp!!! Our Mother was the Manager of Act 2 restaurant and
did call 911.

A. He really wanted to teach children! That is what his college education was about! teaching children.

A. Sports! Sports! Sports! He played hockey, baseball & soccer. he loved to bike ride on trails, too. He loved
to canoe and hike also. He also was a ref for soccer for several years when he got older.

A. EAU CLAIRE DID NOT HAVE ONLY LITTLE LEAGUE AT THE TIME.
WHEN WE MOVED TO HUDSON, WHEN JOHN STARTED 7TH
GRADE SOCCER WAS THE BIG SPORT UP IN THAT AREA. JOHN
WAS IN HIS GLORY PLAYING OUTSIDE. JOHN WAS ON TEAMS
THRU 7,8,9, AND SOME HIGH SCHOOL.
THEN ALONG CAME HOCKEY AND THAT BECAME HIS STRONG
SPORT. WE TRAVELED INTO MINNESOTA, AND WISC FOR GAMES.
JOHN'S BATMAN TEAM WON WISC STATE CHAMPS IN KENOSHA
WIS AND THAT WAS SOMETHING HE TALKED ABOUT ALWAYS.

A. He really wanted to teach! He graduated with a degree in teaching High School ! He majored in teaching High school History!!! It was so funny! You could ask him any history question and he could answer it with the correct date and time!! He was was so knowen for this!!!

Q. What is a funny childhood memory you have of John Casper Randen?
A. One of the funniest memories I have of my brother John is;
On Sunday nights our parents use to bowl and we had a babysitter, Jenny, come over to sit with us.
Well, she was a really cool babysitter! She would sit in the living room and do her school work on a TV tray
while watching TV. John and I would get out oven mitts and put them on our hands. This was the only way we were going to get our two poodle mixed dogs (named Egg and Cindy) out from under our mom and dad's bed without them biting us. We learned they could bite really hard! So, we would make sure huge baskets of laundry
were under the laundry shoot and we would send the dogs down. We thought they had so much fun doing this!
Understand we were very little! Looking back I understand why the dogs didn't like us much and we had to use oven mitts to get them from under the bed. John and I talked about this all the time through the years and could not believe we did this!!! STILL WAY FUNNY!

A. Yes, John had one sibling... a sister, Barbara.
John and I were very close in age and very close in our hearts. We stood up for each other when we were younger.
We always felt close no matter what was going on in our lives and where we were living.
