Legend, Woman, and Dorothy: A Memory

Brady Dec 02, 2010

She was there all my life, as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, but, I didn't know it. The movie came on once a year, and, after it was over, I forgot. It was not until 2005, at the age of eight, that I discovered, the magic, the charm, the legend, that was Judy Garland. I recall the night, June 10th, I was flicking through channels on the TV and found Everybody Sing. I remembered the movie from my the clips on the Oz documentary. I didn't realize that at that moment my life was changed, for the better. Why? I had seen, the marvel that was Judy Garland. Sadly, I had missed three quarters of the movie. But, from that moment on I made sure I knew as much as I could, watched as much as I could, and listened as much as I could. And now, I am a serious collector, and I'm only 13. This woman, was amazing, she was the sweetest, kindest, talented and sensitive woman God put on the world. Judy's life was short, but she lived it to the fullest, people often say she was so suicidal, but, I always tell them she always said she didn't regret any of her life, except the fact that she didn't have a childhood. But, she didn't want to kill herself, and to her misfortune, God decided her time was over on earth early. She is greatly missed by many, and will always be remembered for Dorothy. Judy, I hope you've finally found your way Over the Rainbow... I love you.

My Childhood Hero

Mishku Mar 24, 2009

Every since I was two years old, I've loved the Wizard of Oz. There was one point when I had every single line memorized, and I used to play all the characters myself and act it out when no one was watching.

And my most favorite actress of all: Judy Garland.
I absolutely loved her... her voice, her sweet character, and a very beautiful lady

Rest In Peace, Judy.

I love you.

You were more than a voice. You were a sensitive soul, and you deserved to be treated better by everyone.Your music touched my soul. I have always wanted to meet you but unfortunately you died 13 years before I was born. Hopefully, I can meet you in the afterlife and have a good time chatting away and go to parties. Sending you all my love always...Rest in peace sweetie. Muah..xoxo
