A. His first job was at the Dodson Fish Market. He may not have cared about the BUFFALO, but he enjoyed the people that came in. Being around people always seemed to make him happy.

A. He loved his truck. That was probably one of his dreams to fix up his new truck. He wanted to put rims on it and a sound system in it.

A. He talked to Dr. King about being a doctor. As much as he cared about people, he would have made a good one.

A. dont really know about an alternative. He would have made the most out of anything that he tried.

A. He love ag in school. He loved Irvin Bell, his teacher, and Nursey landscaping. He competed in that and won several awards. He also loved volleyball, which he played at his church on saturday night.

A. I think he just wanted to be healthy and happy. He just wanted to live his life to the fullest ability that he could.

Q. What scared Justin Wayne Higgs as a child?
A. Surgery scared him as he got older. He had alot of open heart surgeries when he was young, but as he got older they were harder and harder on him. Now that I look back, he hated going to New Orleans to the doctors, because he never knew what they might say.

A. People saw Justin as a clown sometimes. He was full of something all of the time. He loved people and seeing them smile was something he enjoyed. He was always there for me when I needed a lift. I sure miss him!!!!

Q. What is a funny childhood memory you have of Justin Wayne Higgs?
A. His first bus ride is a funny memory. We had told him that Rayford Chandler would be his bus driver and he knew Rayford, so he was ready....The first day of school, Rayford did not drive the bus. Mr. Leach drove the bus. To say the least....Justin got on the bus, but he got back off of the bus and said he wasnt doing to ride on it with that ____ Bleach driving.

A. He loved high school. He always enjoyed dressing up for prom and homecoming. He liked the people at his school.

A. he changed for the better. He was becoming more intelligent and easier to talk with. During all of his problems, I would encourage him to look to Jesus because Jesus had a plan for his life. His faith grew stronger as he got older. It was still very hard on him, but he knew who was in charge, Jesus Christ!!!

Q. What was Justin Wayne Higgs's family life like?
A. His mama, which is me, loved him so very much. I spent alot of time with him in the hospitals. I never minded the sacrifice and now I can look back and see that it was time well spent with my son. His daddy, my husband, also loved Justin. They had their own special understanding about things. As Justin matured, he knew what he wanted in life and he didnt let anyone or anything get in his way to achieve it. Colin, His brother, loved Justin too. They spent more time together after Justin got grown than he did with me or his daddy. He loved us, but his brother and his friends were important to him too.

A. yes. he had one brother. They were close. I know that it has been a disappointment for Colin, knowing that Justin passed away and their friendship had to end, but one day they will be able to rekindle that friendship in heaven.

A. his entire life was a memorable story. From his first steps, and his first bus ride all the way through his last breath. He was loved and he loved people. He held his head up and made me so proud of him.

A. His philosophy was to enjoy life to the fullest. He loved people and he always tryed to put a smile on their face. When a person came in the market he would say.."What can I do you for". He knew that was backwards, but that is what made it so special. and then when they left he always said "Ya'll come back".

Q. What were Justin Wayne Higgs's religious or spiritual beliefs?
A. He believed that Jesus died for his sins and that he was going to heaven when he died. He didnt have a Christian home when he was young, but God saved me when he was 13. His life took a drastic change then. From bars and drinking to church and singing. He told me one time that He wanted to have the faith that I had. That has stuck with me throughout this ordeal. For him to see Jesus in me and for him to want that same Jesus....says alot!!!!!!!!!!!

A. The doctors told him that he didnt need to play sports...even as much as P.E. in school, but he did play volleyball at church on Saturday night.

A. music...He loved music, He played the drums at church...but he did have a wild side to his music too... He blew up his stero in his truck because he was trying to hook up too many amps...or something. Brother Glen called him "Sparkey".

A. the perfect day for Justin was for him to hang out with his friends. It didnt really matter what they done, but he wanted to be around somebody all of the time.

A. Romantic????the man created romance...He loved buying ladies flowers and jewlery or candy and cards. My first birthday without him was when God gave me a picture of him and Jesus. I was praying hard and I told God "now you have taken him...I need something to hold on to. He always gave me gifts and was so special...now what, he is not here to do that." I certainly don't mind telling the story...if you want to know. e mail me!

A. He loved my meatloaf. Him and Amber came down to the house about a week or so before he went to heaven and I cooked it for him. He liked just about any kind of food.

A. He loved to travel. Driving was important to him. He didnt really like to go to New Orleans....because of the doctors and the hospital, but just about anywhere else was fine with him. He had a problem one time that slowed down his going...that made him miserable.
