About

Karen

The 26-year-old was found in the street in the North Island town of Taupo in the early hours of Thursday morning with serious head injuries.

Police revealed that when officers discovered her lying in the road near a college, she was still conscious and managed to give her name.

However, she died later in hospital.

In a message posted before Christmas, Ms Aim described how she had been travelling around the north and south islands and had done her first bungee jump.

She wrote: "Working in a glass blowing gallery in Taupo, just right up me street.. meeting lots o cool as folk over here too, living wi a kiwi and an Irish lass, right good laughs...."

Memories

Never Forgotten

Emma Obrien Jan 17, 2012

Its that day again that is never easy and always tinged with sadness. I still remember it like it was yesterday even though 4 years have gone past. A beautiful lady that is still missed by so many.
Always cherished, never forgotten.

4 years on, RIP Karen

I still think about Karen often and never really look forward to Jan 17th, I didn't really know her for long but that still does not make it any easier.
My thoughts are with Karen's family on this sad day, I can not understand how they must feel.
Through meeting Karen, I met lots of great friends in Taupo. I hope to see you all again some day.

Our Dundee lady!
