About
Katelyn's Life Story
Katelyn was born on April 6, 2004. A beautiful baby girl weighing 5 pounds 15 ounces. I had always wanted a baby girl and was so extremely ecstatic to have her. Not only did I have her, but also another baby boy and his name is Dylan- now 4 yrs old. TWINS!! What an amazing adventure. I did know prior to delivery that I was having twins, so it wasn't a surprise. But, alot of questions and emotions ran through me and my husband's minds. However, we would never have given up them for anything. We also have an older son, Andrew- now 6 yrs old.
Katelyn's life ended on June 24, 2006 to an accidental drowning at the short age of 2. The details are still too unbearable to express even after 2 yrs, but possibly at a later time will edit it here. Until then this will be general. Katelyn's life was so short but in that short time we will always have the most cherished memories ever. Things happen and we don't ever understand it or why. God must have had a plan for her and for some reason needed her then.
Katelyn was always adorable from a small bundle of joy to a beautiful little girl with blonde hair, however thin and always under mischief. Looking at her pictures, you would always see her smiling and having fun with big brother and twin brother. Katelyn had her moments, though where she would throw tantrums or be cranky. But, so is every child who doesn't get their way.
Katelyn had a nickname which was thought of by our daycare "Heaven Sent Daycare". Her nickname was Katie bug- Ladybug. I always loved that name and still do. She still has that nickname to me. Ladybugs are special little tokens of Katie.
We have started a memorial for Katie's last year to honor her memory by building a garden in our front yard. It is still growing and always adding things to it. Ladybugs and angels are included with flowers, too. There is a tree from her funeral that began all this memorial garden thoughts which is included in the garden. Also, a beautiful engraved rock and crabapple tree bought by our daycare in memory of my beautiful daughter Katelyn in setting there in this garden. We hope that all the love and time that took into making this garden, will continue to build and grow as Katie's life grows in heaven.
I love you my beautiful baby girl. Keep flying with the angels and I will always hold you close to my heart. Until we meet in heaven, I'll be missing you.
