About
My Mom
I was only nine years old when my mother lost her battle with cancer. Losing a loved one is one of the greatest pains one might endure in life, but watching someone suffer is worse. My mom's battle with cancer was short, but she did not give up without a fight. I look back on the few memories I am blessed to still have and I know that I was robbed. We all were. She was simply amazing.
Looking back I also know it was a mistake to not talk about her. We all stopped sharing stories and thought it best to protect ourselves from the pain of remembering. Today, twenty years later I feel forgetting has been the most painful.
Please help keep her memory alive by contributing to her page. I will be forever indebted to all of you for even one answer to the many questions I still have. It has been extremely difficult to grow into the woman I am today while constantly wondering who my mom was. I look forward to reading your thoughts and thank you in advance for loving her, too.

P.S. The butterfly is because you liked them so much.
Thank You

I remember how amazed I was at how many people came to pay their respects when she passed. That was a testimony to the person that she was and how many people cared for her and loved her. I think I am most proud that she used the years God gave her to do the most and best that she could. I pray that whenever my time comes, I will have impacted at least a fraction of the lives that she did.
Jayne did a great job of putting this page together and we would truly appreciate any thoughts, memories, and pictures that you can share. She is right that it was a huge mistake not to talk about my mom. Although it hurts to talk about someone that we love so much when we first lose them, it hurts even more not to talk about them. So, for all of you who are visiting this page, I ask that you take a few minutes to share. We still have a lot of questions, a few of which are at the bottom of this page. If you know any of the answers please share them with us.
