About
Beautiful Young Woman Lost
Kathleen Marie Dukes was the unfortunate victim of a motorcycle accident during a high speed chase with Georgia State Patrol Troopers. She was killed along with the motorcycle driver, a 22 year-old Waleska man.
GSP Trooper Larry Schnall says the chase began just after 12:30 a.m. on I-75 North in Atlanta near the Northside Drive exit. He says a member of the patrol's DUI task force spotted a group of motorcyclists traveling at a high rate of speed and went after them.
The chase went north into Cobb County for about 15 or 20 miles and ended at the intersection of Canton Road and the Canton Road Connector. The fleeing motorcyclist took the Canton Road/Highway 5 exit and headed north where he failed to make a sharp curve at the intersection.
Evidence at the scene indicated the bike crossed a median, tore through some large bushes on the curb and went out of control. The two riders were thrown into the side of a commercial van belonging to an electrical repair company in a small strip shopping center. The pair is believed to have died instantly when their bodies hit the van, which was badly dented.
Their motorcycle continued about another 50 feet, slammed into the front of the electrical repair company, smashed out its front windows and bounced back into the parking lot in several pieces. A wrecker driver who hauled away the demolished bike told 11Alive News it looked like a 2007 Suzuki 600cc GSX-R.

A Lost Best Friend

You never said you're leaving
You never said goodbye
You were gone before I knew it
Only god knows why
A million times I needed you
A million times I cried
If love alone could have saved you
You never would have died
In life I loved you dearly
In death I love you still
In my heart you hold a place
Noone could ever fill
It broke my heart to lose you
But you did not go alone
For a part of me went with you
The day god took you home.
This is my Tribute to the most beautiful girl in the world
Kathleen I love you and I hope you're smiling down on me always
XoXo
