Kathleen Dukes Tribute

Wow Uhm, To this day I still cant believe you're gone. Your memories have shaken me through these years. I have a very hard time remembering things but I remember clear as day the times we spent throughout HighSchool. You were and still are my best friend. You're that special person who helped me find myself and made me believe in myself without even trying. Your smile Lighted up worlds when you walked into the room, such grace and joy beamed off the very body god had given you and it was so amazing. I have never had anyone as a friend like you. I remember the times I stayed weeks and weeks with you and your family and the times, god we had so much fun....Even still have the scar of when I was being foolish and fell through your what seemed to be plate glass window ;) though it was'nt. We went our seperate ways in life as do most people with connections on this earth growing into Adulthood...but we managed to stay in touch every now and again. I remember it was 3 months after you passed that I was told...Remember, one of our old buddies from high school that guy? well I was just looking through his new pictures and saw a folder created just for you...Although the contents of written statements laid underneath your beautiful grace was hard to even begin to grasp...So I sent him a letter and he forwarded me to a site and I still couldnt believe it. I cried for weeks and weeks just so depressed that something so good and pure hearted as you was taken away from this world from our light. I guess god had bigger and better plans for you, because you were special and any mans a fool to not see just how precious to this world you really were. Ya know, I walked into the room and people say Hey! Whats Up? but when you walk in its all eyes on you, you know why? Its because people love you and your loving and friendly energy is so strong that noone could hardly resist your personality is like a superheroe to us all so radiant so blessed. You may not have been the most perfect person but you were damn near close and I could'nt even begin to imagine my life without you in it. People say it gets easier with time, well I've had many mishaps since you past very tragic and sad and nothing gets better with time just easier to deal with....You showed me how to embrace my womanhood and showed me the fun and positive things in a very depressed tragically hurt Girl like myself and I will never forget any of what we did and how you gave me an understanding. I always thought to myself at Karaoke when we'd go, This girl sings like an angel.....Now I know where you get it from. I would Like for you to hear this poem from my heart:

You never said you're leaving
