Kevin, My Brother We fought as children We went our own ways And then as the days passed And grief and tragedy came When parents died And we were not the same I vowed to see you more often This family of mine Because one never knows When it is the last time And each time we met We went down Memory Lane Often with humour, sometimes with pain The people, events that shaped us and our lives Serve to remind us that love never dies And though hearts may be broken With the pain of being left The love for each other means we are not bereft As the family cling to each other Mother, sister, cousin, brother The love shines bright and clear and true As we look at each other We see them in you They are still part of us, all of our days We feel them around in so many ways As I stood on the path where you left this life I looked up at the skies, so clear and blue And asked those that had passed to take care of you It was so sudden, so shocking The way that you went But in the rich tapestry of life This is how it was meant Now, in the Light, our brother Joe you will meet And I know that both of you young Lived a life complete Goodbye Nut Nut Love you Melda
