About

Page Name

As a young revolutionary, Laszlo and his dear friend filmed live footage of the 1956 Revolution in Hungary through a paper bag.  They risked everything to bring this footage out of Hungary eventually to America where it was featured by Walter Conkrite in a documentary.

This was the beginning of a brillitant cinematography career.

He was born in Cece Hungary, and died at home in Beverly Hills with his family.

My Memory

Vitez Takacs Nov 13, 2008

Rest in Peace! I recently saw a beautiful documentary film called "Torn From The Flag", which is about the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. This is actually the last film Laszlo ever worked on - he was the Executive Producer and Director of Photography. This is one of my favorite movies and is a must-see film for anyone of Hungarian descent or who loves and appreciates Laszlo’s work!
