first heard this great voice in 1990. and when lucky came to ireland in 2004 it was us who were lucky. a brilliant performer, his lyrics gave us an insight into his soul, his music was happy and uplifting. hard to believe its a year already. love and respect to lucky dube for his good works, to his family, his band the slaves and backing singers, thank you all.
i think his spirit is captured beautifully on the video 'i got you babe'. and the song 'remember me'. i'll remember you.

Its gonna b yur 1yr anniversary 2morrow the 18th,all respect to u lucky.Its gonna b a sad day 4me but u no what am gonna celebrate yur life by continue to play yur music all day long.I made it my duty to get most of yur music already very soon am gonna have all as my personal collections.U knew yur fans still luv an adore u even if u no longer with us,i pray that yur soul rest in peace we no the lord giveth an he taketh,but as much as we no he knows best it is something we could never accept,that day when u leave us i no it was one of the hardest day around the world.I remember being at work then went 2 yur web site and it was like i lost a family member bcause i cried all day an prayed for yur family.That was 1 of the worst wk in my entire life,very tragic an even up 2 today am still so sad u not here.Thank u again lucky 4 the great music that one of my comfort when am down an out its like a healing medicine 4me.U rest in peace ma brother no u making great music in heaven u r a bless soul.Yur number 1 fan camille.

On Saturday the 18th gonna b a yr since u left so many of us in pain.Thats another important day on my calendar i will never forget,it was one of the most painful day in my life.I no u gone on to a better place but it was too soon,am gonna always thank u for the precious music no one could ever take that away even if u no longer around u were the best an i thank god for the true an honest brother u were.I always keep yur family in my thoughts an i pray that the creator would guide an keep them safe under his wings,always yur true an no one fan. As we approach the one year anniversary of Lucky's Life and death here on earth, his spirit still lives on and is entwined in our day to day living. Lucky was an extraodinary Reggae artist. His music/songs especially the lyrics/word in each track he sang have touched and is still touching lives in so many ways. Each one of us can relate to one or more of his songs and connect them with and/or in our day to day lives. Lucky you are gone but never forgotten.
