MICHAEL HODGKINSON Tribute

ok so its almost been 2 years since my great uncle mike died. i have to put an emphasis on the GREAT part because thats what he was he was so fun to be around he wasnt judgemental and excepted everyone for who they are you could tell him anything and he would make you happy i cant believe how quickly time has passed since hes been gone and my only regret is that i diddnt spend as much time as i would have wanted to with him which is something i think about every day!!!! but in the same breath that i say i have that regret im just greatful for the time i did have with him and the memories i have of him. i wrote this poem 2 days after he died and just thort id add it to my bebo.

TREASURED MEMORIES OF YOU!

although heaven opened up and stole you away,
treasured memories of you will forever stay.
theyre in the stars bound in the darkest night sky,
theyre in the silent whisper of the wind passing by,
theyre in the crashing of the bountiful waves,
as they lap up the sand devouring it away,
treasured memories of you so precious and dear,
theyre memories of which to no one could we compare,
these memories are as precious as the biggest piece of silver,
these memoris are as delicate as a fallen wiltered rose petal,
these memories are as beautiful as the sunset we see before we aproach darkness.
treasured memories of you will never depart,
because the memories from you i hide deep inside my heart!!!!

He was a great grandpa and i loved him so much. He gave me lollies and sang us song. I loved to sing with him and I know all the songs by heart. He was a good builder and made us a fun playground. He was my only grandpa and i miss him 100%. Love you always Grandpa. Love from your 2 a tara.
